Memory Game
This human-scale installation, presents 40 “photographs” of undocumented childhood moments. These images do not recreate actual memories; instead, they are visual translations of stories shared by my parents about my first years of life – a time that remains largely unconscious yet profoundly shaped my personality and artistic vision.
The piece explores the delicate scaffolding of memory: the transmission of intergenerational narratives, the replacement of borrowed stories with new imagery, and the transformation of early psychic foundations into mature art. The tower stands as a metaphor for the memory system – stable in appearance yet inherently fragile, existing in the space between reality and imagination, and liable to collapse at the slightest touch.
